OMG!!!!:-) what can i say about this great place to stay. it was everything and more of what we had expected. this was our first time there and the area is beautiful. all the places i love to see, the biltmore, the falls in brevard and duponte forest are easy to get to. just one big loop. the shopping on 74-A is fantastic. such nice people and some really good eating. and the gem mine across the street is a must see and i am still lol thinking about my buddies finding their gems. they had a great time.:-)

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend (9/23 - 9/25) at Preston's Thicket. It was so peaceful and quiet. The family cabin exactly met our needs; we could not have asked for more! Cheryl was great to work with and the reservation process was very easy. We will come back again and I recommend it to anyone. Perfect location to area attractions.

Our family spent Labor Day weekend at Preston's Thicket. We rented both cabins for us, our 3 adult children and their spouses, and our 2 grandchildren. Some families look for crowded, busy resorts; when we vacation together we always look for a quiet and private place where nature surrounds us. That is exactly what we found at Preston's Thicket. Fishing, wading, feeding the ducks, campfires, s'mores, ghost stories, watching the birds, wild turkeys, mining for gems, good music, good food, & family games were all part of our wonderful weekend. In addition, Cheryl is a kind and helpful host. Thanks again, Cheryl. We hope to return soon!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful vacation cabin. It had all the comforts of home and was much nicer than we expected. The large screened porch was very relaxing and our grandson and the whole family enjoyed the lake with the fish and ducks. One morning we even had deer outside of our windows. Cheryl was absolutely wonderful to work with. We will definitely be back.

During my visits to this secluded hideaway... it is one of the quietest places on earth. A great place to sit and take all of the serenity that the mountains have to offer... Nothing like sitting on the front porch on Sunday morning listening to the rain as it soothes life troubles out of the way. It is a place that I would love to return over and over....

A little piece of heaven. I enjoyed waking up to the birds and watching the sun come up on the front porch. It is a perfect place to have a family get together and close enough to everything to enjoy what nature has to offer.

what a wonderful place to spend a vacation or weekend. It has everything you need to have a great time of relaxing, hiking, site seeing or fishing.

Cheryl, Nice Website, maybe next time you are in, we can get down the hill to see it in person! At least I can attest to the quiet of the area, would not think of a better place to spend time.
